Little Hands Virginia distributes essential items and diapers to hundreds of children each month. From partner intake to order filling, the program team oversees all aspects of Little Hands Virginia’s programs.
The program staff, with the help of our incredible volunteers, send out over 80,000 diapers a month and fill over 200 requests for individual support. This amazing team is the backbone of Little Hands Virginia!
Meet the Team
Margaret Long
Program Director
Margaret loves seeing the tangible impact Little Hands Virginia has on a family’s life. She said, “Through the distribution of car seats, hygiene items, and diapers, we help reduce abuse, mitigate the severity of postpartum depression, and promote babies’ healthy development.” When Margaret is not at the office, she can be found playing tennis or researching her next travel destination.

Kayla Currie
Program Manager
Kayla, a Mechanicsville native, is the newest member of the program team. She started at Little Hands in July. Over the past four months, she has enjoyed getting to know, and working alongside, our dedicated volunteers. During Kayla’s downtime, she teaches yoga and loves going bird-watching.

Daniela Stapor
Contracted Social Worker
When Daniela first started at Little Hands Virginia, she was most surprised to learn how many people rely on Little Hands’ assistance. Through her role, she connects with and helps navigate parents to extra support in the community. A graduate of VCU, she spends her time enjoying the outdoors through running and biking. She also loves to curl up with a good book!
Get Involved
Our Program Staff can’t accomplish our important mission of providing essential items to families in need on their own. We depend on the kindness of volunteers to help!
Little Hands Virginia has many ways to be hands on with our programs. From individual volunteer opportunities to group volunteer days, there’s ways to get the whole family involved!
