We’ve been working behind the scenes since January to identify the need, talk with potential partner organizations, and file all the paperwork. In June we officially got our 501c3 status. And now we are about to launch. But what does “launching” mean?
It means we’re ready to start helping moms and children (0-3 years old) in need in Greater Richmond. Next week we will be ready to start receiving and fulfilling requests from our partners. And, we’ll be ready to start collecting donated items.
So who are our partners? On Day One we will be working with local social services offices and other nonprofits that help moms and babies in Richmond, Henrico, Chesterfield, Hanover and Goochland. And we hope to expand to partner with hospitals, shelters, and other local agencies to assist the people they work with too.
We are excited to officially get going and are so appreciative of all the offers to help that we have already received! We can’t wait to have a full supply closet and start passing things on to the moms and children that need them.
(If you have items you’d like to donate, please visit our donation page to coordinate a pick up/drop off!)
